Our Design Courses
Three full-time, studio-based programmes across Interior, Fashion and Jewellery Design. Each with its own workshop, visiting faculty and industry network.
Programme 01
Students begin with hand drafting and scaled models — only then do we move to CAD and 3D rendering. This sequence is deliberate: designers think best with a pencil first.
Our Interior Design students actively make their mark with leading Architects, PMC firms, Builders and Civil Engineering companies across Surat — and on National and International projects.

Programme 02
Fashion at UID is taught as a conversation between material, body and time. Students learn pattern-making and draping by hand before screens, and learn colour, weave and print in the city that still makes India’s textiles.
We bridge the gap between classroom learning and the fashion industry through Garment Fabrication, Digital Print studies and Industry Exhibitions. By the final year every student has designed, sampled and shown a collection.

Programme 03
We teach jewellery as a design discipline first: proportion, negative space, the way light moves through facets. Students draw, model, cast and polish — the full arc from sketch to worn piece.
Our students create Theme-Based Collections for both National and International markets — securing positions in world-renowned diamond firms. Proximity to Surat’s diamond industry means factory visits and industry exposure are built into the programme.
